MINIC '17

MINIC project stands for ' Microbes Invention Innovation And Ideation Challenge' that combine three courses which is Microbiology students, Biotechnology students and Biocell students in a group. Our group was assigned a theme which is the 'Forestry' 🌳

From the project, I have learned a lot of things. First of all, this project helps me to enhance my creativity.The most important thing is to come out with a problem statement. It helps me to think critically in order to find a solution for the problem.

Other than that, this project helps to improve my communication skills and leadership. At the first process of the project, all of us came out with different ideas and opinions about the project. We decided to change our microbe at the very last minute due to missunderstood about the concept and informations. However, we managed to settle everything. Other than that, hearing others opinion is very important as we need respect on others even they have different opinion with us.

Finally, this project helps me to gain a lot of knowledges and discovering new things. I have the opportunities to explore the importants of microbes in our life. I managed to gain knowledges by visiting other groups booth. I hope that one day, the innovations that we had made during the project can come true and helps the world to become a better life :)

First Class of Second Semester (2nd Week)

Hi peeps! 😊 For our first microbiology class, we were briefed about topics that we are going to learn throughout this second semester generally. And of course, more upcoming projects that we have during this sem. We were divided into new groups and assigned with specific microorganisms for each group. I am in group Fungi 🍄 During the second class of the class, we were given a task to construct a mind map about Microbial Systematic in Fungi. We swapped our mind map with other groups and jotted down things or information that were not stated in the mind map yet. This activity help us to share informations and improved among each other. This semester will be a long and tiring as we have a lot of assignments and lab reports 😪😴  But we will boost up our energy to go through this semester really well and excellenty! 💪

What is microorganism? Microorganism is a small and tiny living things that cant be seen with our naked eyes. Groups of microorganisms During the first week of lecture, we have been introduced to the microbial world. We also learned that not all of the microorganisms are harmful and virulent that can causes diseases, but most of them give benefits in many ways.
